📍Cafe: (Not Just) Another Cup
Corporate workers who work nine to five often want to get out of their cubicles and go out, to get some fresh air at that point in time when your mind and body have had enough and too much to process.
And that was what my colleague and I did, we went to Not Just Another Cup cafe in Sathon Soi 10. It took only 10 mins walk from Bangkok City Tower to the cafe, and the walk was very chilling. Everything at that point in time was just right- it was not crowded and the weather was breezy with a dim of the evening ☀️. The vibe of the restaurant was on the same page with the ambience of the evening; the mood and tone of the surroundings were consistent along the walkway and that made our tea break even better.
We ordered Vanilla Hokkaido Milk scone and Cranberry Hokkaido Milk scone for dessert, and two glasses of Strawberry and Vanilla Homemade Ice-Cream milkshake. And I have to say, I LOVE THE SCONES! The flavour and the texture of the flour blends in seamlessly 😋 It was baked really well, the crispiness of the flour is the most solid on the outside and its texture gradiently softens as you cut deep into the core of the scone — this blends in really well giving your taste buds the perfect texture of a soft scone with a sprinkle of crispiness. Add some raspberry sauce into some of the bites, and it gives you a different flavour with a hint of sourness. Strawberry Milkshake was not as much of a hit as the scone… in my opinion, but it was refreshing nonetheless. 👍
